Why Holistic Therapies

Stress is one of the biggest killers. Statistically 75-80% of disease and illness are caused and or aggravated by stress. Problems such as the common cold, depression, high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, depleted immune system, diabetes… the list goes on. And what do We as People “In General” do about it?? Nothing. We let stress build up until it affects us as a problem – back ache being simple ill effect to a stroke or heart attack as an extreme, with lots of other illnesses between.

Peoples response to illness and pain is very often going to the doctor and or drugs (pharmaceutical) which can also cause ill/side effects, this option in some cases is very necessary and advisable to do so, but in most cases it can be self neglect or unavoidable build up of issues that cause the problem, which could be prevented or avoided.

Although it may very well be the physical component of a person that people more easily recognize when problems arise through its discomfort or PAIN signals; the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ourselves also indicate imbalances and disease. The holistic therapist looks at the “whole person” in order to make his or her complete evaluation and uses all information gathered before suggested treatments to the client are offered.

I my self practice with a wide knowledge and experience of technique tailored to suit each individual, using a bases of several therapies which include; Aromatherapy, A touch for health kinesiology, Holistic massage, Swedish massage, Indian head massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology and Reiki.

As well as Holistic Therapies being very beneficial for your health they can also be used as an enjoyable and relaxational self pampering experience. Massage is well known for this reason. There is nothing quite like a good massage, but there is more to it than meets the hand. Massage has been around for thousands of years, and used by ancient Greek and Roman physicians as a means of healing and soothing the sick. For many of us, stiffness, pain and stress have become a way of life with too much of our energy consumed by tension. Massage can offer you relief, enhance the function of your body and increase a greater sense of well being.
